INSTRUCTIONS FOR MANUSCRIPTS
Please notice that: The presented papers in this meeting after evaluate and approved positively by refrees , will be considered for publication in “International Journal of Acarology” without any page charge. Please follow IJA author instructions for preparetion of papers.
Instructions for oral and poster presentation
I. General presentation
- Language: The ofiicial langugae for the papers in English and Turkish
- Number of page: Maximum ten pages
- The deadline of the abstract submission: 30 march 2009
- The deadline of the papers or presentation: First May 2009
- Manuscript formatted sent as attached file (first author’s last name doc.) by mail
- Only original resarch works should be accepted as present oral and poster presentations by the organasing Committee
- Abstract : must not exceed 250 words.Times and New Romans,12 punto, Title 14 Punto,centered. Include main result and conclusion of the work
- Key words: maximum 5 words.
II. First Page presentation(oral and posters)
- Page 1.must indicate
- Title: It should be informative and centered
- Author’s last name
- Summary: must not exceed 250 words. Include main result and conclusion of the work
- E-Mail and instition address (es)
III. Instruction for oral presentation
- Each presentation should be include ; the summary, objective , result and discussion
- The oral presentation will be 15 minutes(10 minutes+ 5 minutes question)
- The official language of the presentation is in English.
- Microsoft power point is allowed for the oral presentation
- For text: font size shoul be 24 at maximum
IV. Instructions for preparing posters
- Language: The official langugae for the papers is in English
- Each poster should be include part of summary, objective , result, discussion and referrences.
- Each poster should be presented on a single board
- Each poster maximum 120cm high, 80 cm. wide.
- Each poster must include enough information
- Each poster has include key words and like first page of presentation
- Each poster should be include ; Authors last name, adresses and e-mail adress
- Each poster shoul be written in appropriate size and no hand writting on the posters
- Posters not include the above standarts may be rejected by the organising committee.
General Information
Background; The world crisis of acarina taxonomy is getting worsening and now the question is how to help the situation. Although Acarology is progressing rapidly, taxonomical studies are still poor and needs to be improved in Turkey. In general, the agricultural acarology are facing with various problems such as taxonomy, measurement, pesticide resistance and environmental issues. The correct identification method is very important for the successful application. With the using natural enemies to control mite problems, especially the detection of beneficial mites, is preferred mostly. The proposed workshop will give an opportunity for all people to present their studies, share their experience and knowledge. More importantly encourage the young researchers for joining in taxonomy of acarology.
